Child allowance

To qualify for child allowance children must be under 18 years of age (27 if child is full-time student), with no age limit if the child is/or becomes disabled before the age of 18. The allowance is automatically paid monthly on a sliding scale depending on how many children you have and their ages:

• 185.60 € per month for one child;
• 220.36 € per month, per child, for two children;
• 267.59 € per month, per child, for three children;
• 361.83 € per month for each additional child; plus

• 16.17 € per month for each child aged 6-11;
• 48.52 € per child aged 12 or over.

• 185.60 € per month is added if the child is seriously disabled.
