BACKGROUND

GITECO (Construction Technology Applied Research Group) is a reference technical research group that combines both Innovation and Technical development of processes and tools applied to construction, with Consulting, Technical Assistance and Professional Training works.

Since it was founded in 2002, GITECO has participated in more than 100 national and international projects, has registered many patents and has generated industrial designs, utility models and software applied to civil engineering, both for the private and the public sectors.

With all our research lines focused on the development of a more sustainable, innovative and resource-efficient construction industry, GITECO’s commitment with Sustainability, Climate Change Mitigation and Circular Economy is unquestionable.

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Now, we are doing a pre-selection of candidates looking for a new member who will fulfil the role of technical and project manager assistant with a focus on supporting the circular economy transition. You will drive forward commitments with key organisations within an ecosystem where commitment has been established.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

  • Collaborate in the search and preparation of bids for European and international grant applications for public funds.
  • Project Management assistant to ensure execution at the highest possible quality level, complying with the set framework.
  • Support the development, planning, and implementation of the projects´ work plan and tasks.
  • Contribute to the drafting of reports and other programme management material.
  • Participate in international project meetings.

Skills/Qualifications

REQUIRED BACKGROUND & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Environmental science, environmental management, industrial ecology, materials science, chemistry or similar.
  • Contributing to successful business development of circular economy-related projects, including knowledge on current regulatory and policy frameworks and market trends for addressing gaps and challenges.
  • Pertinent educational background and high affinity with low carbon transition and circularity in economies.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • First-rate communication and interpersonal skills.
