Offer Description
Applications are open for one Scientific Initiation Studentships, within the framework of project/R&D institution Center for Responsible AI, 1801P.01320.1.01 Responsible.AI_ Contrato nº 62 - IST-ID, financed by national funds through PRR
Workplan: Study the use of neuromorphic (event) cameras for the general problem of object tracking. Develop and train algorithms for the specific problem of drone tracking, including data acquisition, preparation of datasets, training and validation of machine learning models.
Duration: The scholarship will last 3 months and is expected to start in July 2025. The scholarship contract cannot be renewed. When the academic degree or diploma is awarded during the term of the scholarship contract, it may be completed under the contractual terms established.

Additional Information
Monthly maintenance allowance: the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is €651,12, being the payment method by Wire Transfer.

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: Curriculum evaluation, individual interview (in person or remotely), knowledge tests, with the respective weight of 40%/30%/30%
Composition of the selection Jury: Professors José Santos Victor, Catarina Barata, e Alexandre Bernardino.
Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.
Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal: After the provisional list of assessment results has been communicated, candidates have a period of 10 working days in which to make their views known at the prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms of articles 121 et seq. of the Code of Administrative Procedure. The final decision will be handed down after analysis of the opinions presented at the prior hearing of interested parties. The final decision may be appealed to the Jury or to the President of IST-ID, within 15 working days of notification.

Workplace: The work will be carried out at the Institute of Systems and Robotics of the Instituto Superior Técnico, under the scientific supervision of Professor Alexandre Bernardino.
