ERA TALENT (2023-2026)
The EU-funded ERA TALENT project aimed at developing further the services provided by the EURAXESS network, through the reforming of its structure, with the aim to support the career development of researchers in Europe, expanding the career trajectories for them in academia, industry, business, the public and the non-governmental sectors. The project also intended to pave the way for integrating EURAXESS in the ERA Talent Platform, an online portal providing centralised access to a variety of services for researchers and research performing organisations.
In the framework of this project, two new EURAXESS Hubs (read more about the hubs in the EURAXESS HUBS project) were launched focusing on: talent circulation (Hub 4) and refugee researchers (Hub 5).
Through the “ERA TALENT Call for Multiplying the Impact of EURAXESS Hubs”, EURAXESS Service Centres could apply for cascade funding and 26 projects were awarded.
The EURAXESS Startup Tours are one of the project initiatives to which EURAXESS Luxembourg contributed by welcoming sciencepreneurs from EURAXESS countries to Luxembourg’s startup and innovation ecosystem. Learn more about this unique on-site format.
EURAXESS HUBS (2021-2022)
The objective of EURAXESS HUBS funded by the European Commission was to assist the professional development of researchers. The project mobilised both experienced and less experienced EURAXESS Bridgehead Organisations (national coordination entities) at tailored levels of involvement, to launch three cross-border pilot hubs and then share their experience with the network. During the project implementation, the hubs rolled out pilot services scaled to the operation of the respective hub, partly based on already available tools, expertise and active engagement with the targeted stakeholders.
The first three EURAXESS hubs focused on these thematic areas:
- Hub 1: Researcher careers beyond academia
- Hub 2: managing talent in academia and the public sector
- Hub 3: promote and assist scientific start-up entrepreneurship
EURAXESS Luxembourg was involved in Hub 3, together with colleagues from six other EURAXESS countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Estonia, Israel, Montenegro and Serbia.
