Offer Description

A Junior Postdoctoral Position is available in the recently established research group led by Nicola Manfrini at the INGM, in Milan, Italy. 

We are looking for a candidate with experience in cancer cell biology to join our group on a project funded by AIRC (MFAG). The aim of our lab is to dissect the function and druggability of the intracellular networks regulated by the FAM46C oncosuppressor complex.

Starting date: 1st of August 2025/ 1st of September 2025.

 

Duration: 15-months Fellowship.

 

Requested diploma: Ph.D. in Cancer biology, Biotechnology or related fields.

 

Languages: Good proficiency of English is mandatory. 

 

Required Qualifications and Experience 

 

We offer a 15-months postdoctoral position (with potential to extend) to an early stage researcher who has attained her/his Ph.D. within the last two years.

The candidate should have a degree in the medical or life sciences fields and a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, possibly cancer research.

The ideal applicant should have a strong background in cancer biology and experience with cell culturing, imaging, FACS analysis, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. Previous experience with manipulating myeloma and/or breast cancer cell lines will be an advantage. Experience with large scale screenings and single-cell techniques will be considered a plus. Independence in work organization, flexibility, and a good command of English are required and prior experience in training students or early-stage researchers is recommended but not mandatory.

Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

In the future, the applicant will be supported to apply for additional national and international fellowship programs (Marie Sklodowska Curie, EMBO, AIRC or similar).
